I’ve been a drinker since I was the age of 15 if not before. It’s something that I’ve always identified as part of who I am. But that’s not healthy or realistic and this year, I once again made a deal with myself, and my wife, to dry out. As a Valentine’s Day gift to my wife, I promised her that I would abstain from drinking ANY alcohol until her birthday, which is in October.
This weekend, I suddenly realized that I had hit and actually surpassed the 6 month mark! I wanted to share that with all of you and how it’s affected my outlook on life and my health. And more to the point, I’m not sure I really want to drink anything once I’ve made it to my wife’s birthday.
